Every other year since 2009, the University of Oklahoma’s Water Technologies for Emerging Regions Center has held a water conference on campus.
This year’s will be held in a few weeks. The Water center is defined as a grass roots, faculty led effort that started in 2006 and was formed to meet a growing need for university-based programs with the personnel and abilities to play a key part in the international water supply and sanitation scene through the development and transfer of appropriate and sustainable water and sanitation solutions.
This year’s conference will be held Monday, September 15 at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History from 8:30 in the morning until 9 o’clock that night.
This event is open to all faculty, staff, and students in the OU community, as well as to all citizens and organizations around the globe who are interested in water, environment, and sustainability. Program schedule includes international water prize banquet, networking breaks, lectures, and a panel discussion featuring the following distinguished speakers:
