US and Cushing Hub experience declines in stored crude oil

 

 

Crude oil supplies fell across the U.S. over the past week and the Cushing Hub total was part of the decline.

A report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed the U.S. total plummeted 9.2 million barrels, from 424.6 million barrels as of September 5 to 415.4 million barrels on September 12.

The Cushing Hub total fell by 300,000 barrels. As of September 12, it held 23.6 million barrels, down from 23.9 million barrels recorded at the end of the week of September 5, 2025.

The EIA also reported the nation’s gasoline stocks also fell over the past week. The decline totaled 2.4 million barrels, from 220 million barrels as of the end of the week of September 5 to 217.6 million barrels by the end of the week of September 12, 2025.

The nation’s gasoline stocks are 9.1 million barrels below the 227.1 million barrels recorded on August 1, 2025.
