The roar of your air conditioner won’t take a breather this week in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma Mesonet Climatologist Gary McManus says it’ll keep your electric meter bouncing for a while even though at times, it feels like fall and homeowners are praying for cooler weather.
“Remember that thing on the side of your house that made all that noise and ran all night long, and ate up all your money? No, not Gary Busey! Your air conditioner. Prepare yourselves, because it’s coming back.”
Only McManus could write about it in his style.
“And don’t worry too much, not like we’re headed back to hundreds, just threatening that 90 mark more often than not. The rain has gone away too, unfortunately,” he wrote this week in his Mesonet newsletter.
