Oil and gas put the three Oklahomans on the latest Forbes list of the richest Americans.

The new list shows Continental Resources founder Harold Hamm and family were ranked 64 on the list of 400 richest people in the country.

The 79-year old Hamm and his family have a wealth of a reported $16 billion dollars, based on the Forbes report.

Tulsan George Kaiser, ranked number 73 on the list with a reported wealth of $14.4 billion, also made his riches through oil and gas plus banking. Kaiser is now 83 years of age.

The third Oklahoman to make the Forbes 400 list was Lynn Schusterman and family who were ranked 341 with a wealth of $4.4 billion.

Forbes reported the 400 richest people in the U.S. are worth a record $6.6 trillion after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year amid surging stock markets and AI mania.

“A decade ago, when it took $1.7 billion to make The Forbes 400, a net worth of $3.8 billion was comfortably within the top half of the ranking—now that lofty sum is the minimum required. Still, 14 newcomers, including four worth $10 billion or more, have muscled their way into America’s most elite club,” reported Forbes.
