OG&E Adds New Energy-Saving Tools for Customer

September 18, 2025

Even as utility electricity rates are on the rise, Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) is rolling out new energy-saving tools designed to help customers better manage their usage and bills.

New OG&E Energy Insights Tools

OG&E’s upgraded Energy Insights platform uses smart meter data and AI technology to give residential and business customers a detailed look at their electricity use.

The program breaks down usage by appliance, tracks trends over time, and offers personalized tips for saving energy and money.

Features include:

  • Bill Comparisons Over Time with monthly summaries and detailed analysis

  • Personalized Recommendations tailored through customer home or facility profiles

  • Appliance-Level Tracking to see how much power fridges, HVAC systems, or washers and dryers use

  • Efficiency Comparisons that show how a home stacks up to similar homes in the area

  • Rate Plan Comparisons to find the most cost-effective option

More Ways to Do Business Online

OG&E is also expanding self-service account tools beyond Energy Insights. Customers can already:

  • Pay bills, set up Auto Pay, or spread costs with Average Monthly Billing

  • Enroll in Energy Efficiency Programs to save long-term

  • Report outages and receive proactive alerts through myOGEalerts

  • Start, stop, or transfer service quickly via the OG&E app or website

“Our customers have told us they want more self-service options, and we’re delivering,” said Sheradee Hurst, OG&E’s manager of public relations. “With our website, mobile app, and new online tools, customers can handle everything from bill payments to energy tracking — safely and securely.”

Customers can explore the new tools now at OGE.com/insights.
