Entergy wins approval for two gas power plants in Texas

Entergy just won approval to build two more natural gas power plants in Texas.
The state’s Public Utility Commission signed off on the projects as Texas, Oklahoma and many other states face a growing boom of electricity demand caused in part by construction of data centers and expanding industries.
Entergy said it expects the Legend and Lone Star power stations should be in service by the middle of 2028 and add more than 1,200 megawatts of energy to the Southeast Texas power grid.
