Dry warm weather to remain for a month before the first freeze hits Oklahoma

“…deliciously crisp mornings and very pleasant evenings,” is what Oklahoma Climatologist Gary McManus says we can expect for some time in Oklahoma.

Writing in his most recent Mesonet update, he said much of the state can also expect dry air with “no rain.”

“We’re on the downward slide towards Winter, so those cold air afficiona…officiana…lovers will get there’s soon. Give it about a month or so.”

In other words, a freeze in much of the state will hit in October and November.
