Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners held two back-to-back closed door meetings this week to discuss “personnel” issues.

A filing was made on Wednesday, September 3 of two meetings that fell under the Corporation Commission Open Meeting Act Exempt Event. The act allows commissioners to hold certain meetings without the public being present.

The first revealed Commissioners Brian Bingman and Kim David met Tuesday, September 2 at 2:45 p.m. for 15 minutes, ending their private discussion precisely at 3 p.m. The meeting took place in Commissioner Bingman’s suite in the Will Rogers Memorial Office Building.

The form of the meeting indicated under the heading “Additional Attendees” “n/a.” It was submitted by Jared Haines, Administrative Aide to Commissioner Bingman.

The second private meeting took place 5 minutes later and involved Commissioner Kim David and Todd Hiett. It started at 3:05 p.m. and ended at 3:15 p.m. and again involved a “discussion of personnel issues.” It took place in Commissioner David’s office in the Will Rogers Memorial Office Building at the capitol.

The form, filed by Jeff Kline, Legal Advisor to Chairman Kim David, showed no one else was in attendance.
