Wind turbine blade carried by truck a mile and a half in reverse

 

Interesting development occurred recently in southern Kansas where a truck towing a wind turbine blade could not make a tight turn.

It was in the southern townof Sedan and the driver, according to KSNW TV News, tried several times to make the turn but couldn’t.

Sedan Police, in a social media posting explained what happened next.

“After three failed attempts, the only available option was for the driver to back 1 1/2 miles through town to take an alternate route. The Sedan Police Department would like to thank the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Sedan City crews, Caney Valley Electric and KDOT for their assistance. Additionally, we’d like to thank the citizens of Sedan for their patience as this situation was addressed.”

There was no indication how long it took the driver to journey the 1.5 miles in reverse.
