Manure-to-gas company, files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

The company that turned cow manure (poop) into natural gas discovered it’s not as profitable as it expected.

NLC Energy, a company that owns and operates renewable natural gas facilities that convert manure and other organic waste has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

NLC Energy Denmark LLC filed in the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Formerly known as NEW Organic Digestion LL, it has an operation in Denmark, Wisconsin. Its headquarters are in New Hampshire.
