Construction companies doing some of the initial construction of a Google data center in Stillwater were sued by a homeowners association that accused it of ruining its pond and killing the fish in it.
The lawsuit was filed in Payne County District Court by the Parkview Estate Home Owners Association.
As reported by KOCO TV News, “The lawsuit claims the pollution is “the direct result of the Defendant’s decision to begin mass grading of the future Google site without first implementing adequate stormwater pollution prevention measures. Their failure to properly plan and protect against runoff foreseeably led to a torrent of red mud and silt flowing into Park View Estates.”
