Largest data center in the world to be built in Utah

Utah could become home to what is billed as the world’s largest data center.

Earlier this summer, Millard County Commissioners unanimously voted to rezone nearly 1,100 acres for the data center proposed by a company named Fibernet MercuryDelta, LCC, a firm created just three years ago.

The commissioners who supported the rezoning and the data center contended there would be huge economic benefits for the county. They followed up the June decision with a vote this week to support a conditional use permit for another major data center.
