Germany’s Bosch company, known for its engineering and technology, recently finished an $8.6 billion acquisition of Norman’s Johnson Controls heating, ventilation and air conditioning plant.
It is considered the largest acquisition ever made by Bosch, a move that puts the 1,300 workers at the former Johnson Controls plant under new employment.
The deal also included Johnson operations in Wichita, Kansas and Monterey, Mexico. Bosch has 417,900 employees around the world and last year the company had sales of 90.3 million euros.
