The merger of Black Hills Energy Corp. and NorthWestern Energy Group is awaiting approval of regulators.
The two firms announced their merger in the past week. Black Hills is a firm that offers natural gas services in southwest and southcentral Kansas.
Approval of the merger is needed in the three states in which the two firms operate, Montana, Nebraska and South Dakota. Arkansas might also have to give approval.
