The data center boom has made its way to North Dakota where a $3 billion project has been announced.
With groundbreaking to be made in September, the project will become the 22nd such data center in the state according to a Data Center Map website. Only 5 such centers are located in South Dakota.
The North Dakota project was announced this week by Applied Digital which intends to build the new data center near Harwood, a town north of Fargo. The same company plans to build a data center in Deuel County near Toronto, SD.
