While we’ve seen a spurt in data centers in the Midwest and Southwest, including Oklahoma, a new report indicates the country’s major data center growth remains in the nation’s larger cities.
The interactive report released by the Brookings Institution shows which regions of the U.S. are experiencing growth in data centers. In some respects, it is surprising that New York City and Boston remain some of the most active areas for the data center growth.
The “AI Superstars” above represent, unsurprisingly, parts of the San Francisco Bay Area, such outliers that they are given their own category. The “Star AI Hubs,” on the other hand, include large metropolitan areas known for tech work, including Boston, Seattle, and Miami reported MIT Technology Review.
