Records show energy lobbyists spent nearly $4 million in a recent attempt to save some of the green energy priorities adopted by the Biden administration before Congress and President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful bill into law.
As one news outlet put it, “they didn’t get much bang for their buck.”
E&E News reports the American Clean Power Association spent a record $3.8 million lobbying federal officials which is more than six times as much spent a year ago. It also learned the Solar Energy Industries Association more than doubled its spending to $950,000 for the quarter while the Zero Emission Transportation Associaton’s spending of $130,000 was four times more than a year earlier.
