2Q results for NextEra Energy coming this month

NextEra Energy, the company fighting to win approval for a 5,000 acre solar farm in northeast Oklahoma, plans a release of its second-quarter earnings report later this month.

The company, headquartered in Juno Beach, Florida, says it will report the results before the opening of the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, July 23 in a news release to be posted on the company’s website at www.NextEraEnergy.com/FinancialResults.

The company will issue an advisory news release over PR Newswire the morning of July 23, with a link to the financial results news release on the company’s website. As previously communicated, the company will make available its financial results only on its website.

John Ketchum, chairman, president and chief executive officer of NextEra Energy; Mike Dunne, executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer of NextEra Energy; and other members of the company’s senior management team will discuss the company’s second-quarter 2025 financial results during an investor presentation to be webcast live, beginning at 9 a.m. ET on July 23.

First quarter results released in April showed NextEra had net income of $833 million or 40 cents a share compared to $2,268 million or $1.10 per share in the first quarter of 2024. On an adjusted basis, NextEra Energy’s 2025 first-quarter earnings were $2.038 billion, or $0.99 per share, compared to $1.873 billion, or $0.91 per share, in the first quarter of 2024.

NextEra finds itself in a legal fight to win approval for a solar farm in Wagoner County near the town of Porter. The county commission voted recently to deny a conditional use permit and NextEra filed a challenge in district court last week. At the same time, NextEra won a Kansas City federal court fight to locate a 5,000 acre solar farm in Jackson County, Kansas.
