When it came to expand broadband service to rural areas of Oklahoma, the state’s Broadband Service Office last year handed out $500 million in federal grants.
Office executive director Mike Sanders, writing in the Sunday Oklahoman’s Viewpoints, said the grants funded 130 projects in 55 counties.
