Crude oil prices and Oklahoma energy stocks saw increases on Friday after U.S. interest rates rose earlier in the week.
However, it also represented the third consecutive week for prices to have an overall decline.
West Texas Intermediate crude went up 4.1% or $2.78 a barrel to close at $71.34 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude rose 3.9% or $2.80 to finish the day at $75.30 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
The increases by both came after four days of losses which sent the contract to lows not seen since late 2021.
Natural gas went up 0.04 to $2.14 for a 1.71% gain.
It turned into a strong day of trading for Oklahoma energy stocks as SandRidge Energy gained 9%, Ovintiv 6%, Gulfport Energy 5% and Devon Energy more than 4%.
Other energy stocks recorded strong gains as well according to the Texas Energy Report.
