The eastern Kansas town of De Soto will not only be home to the $4 billion Panasonic battery plant, but soon to what could be the largest solar project in the state of Kansas.

The Panasonic plant is the one sought by Oklahoma last year but the final decision went to Kansas. Now the city council in De Soto has approving moves to create the Utility Scale Solar Facility in the same park where the battery manufacturing operation is being built reported WIBW TV news.
