Ovintiv finds big producers in southern Oklahoma

Ovintiv Mid-Continent keeps busy in STACK play – Oklahoma Energy Today

 

We haven’t seen one of these in a while—a two-well pad site with total production of more than 3,300 barrels of oil a day in south central Oklahoma.

The Garvin County producers were brought in by Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. with one of the Robertson 0304 wells pumping 2,368 barrels of oil a day along with 3,274 Mcf of natural gas.

The wells are located at 28 3N 4W which is about 2 miles south of the community of Purdy. The Robertson well is producing from 23,440 feet in the Springer formation following a spud date of July 20, 2020 and completion made in January 2021.

The smaller well had production of 952 barrels of oil a day and 1,162 Mcf of natural gas. It also had a spud date of Jan. 18, 2020 with completion made Jan. 7 of this year.

Recent completions were filed by Bce-mach iii LLC in Kingfisher County where the firm had two wells, one producing 377 barrels of oil a day and another with 56 barrels of oil daily.

 

 

 

Arrow Energy Inc. completed a small well in Pontoto County with production of 35 barrels of oil a day.

Devon Energy has plans for another STACK well in Blaine County. It received a drilling permit this week for the  EDWARD 25_36-15N-10W #3HX, to be located several miles southeast of Watonga.

Paloma Operating Co. Inc. received a permit to drill a Canadian County well, the SOUTHERN STAR 33-13N-7W #7MH, located due north of El Reno along highway 81.

Huntington Energy LLC has a permit to drill the BLACK MESA #7-1, in Cimarron County north of the town of Keyes near the state line.
