A 74-turbine wind farm in northern Oklahoma is nearing completion near Newkirk.
Duke Energy Renewables announced this week only 16 towers of the Frontier II wind farm remain to be finished before electricity is produced from the Kay County operation. Frontier II is an extension of Frontier Windpower which has been operational since 2016. The project will include production of electricity as part of a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement for the Ball Corporation.
