Inauguration ceremonies set for Oklahoma’s Governor-elect Stitt and other state elected officials

The inauguration of Oklahoma Governor-elect Kevin Stitt and the swearing in of elected-state officials who’ll handle many energy-related issues will be held Jan. 14, 2019.

Details of the events leading up to the inauguration have been released. The inauguration will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the south steps of the State Capitol.

“Sarah and I are excited to invite all of Oklahoma to join us as we celebrate the beginning of Oklahoma’s Turnaround,” said Stitt, who won 54 percent of the vote in the Nov. 6 general election. “We look forward to seeing friends made over the past 18 months from traveling across the state, holding 300 town halls, and meeting new ones on January 14 as we come together as one state
to reach our Top Ten goals.

Governor-elect Stitt, and all newly elected or re-elected statewide officials, will take the oath of office on January 14th at 11:30 a.m. CST on the South Side of the State Capitol
in Oklahoma City.

Stitt will be sworn in with Lt. Governor-elect Matt Pinnell, Attorney General Mike Hunter, State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister, Labor Commissioner-elect Leslie Osborn, State Auditor-elect Cindy Byrd, State Treasurer-elect Randy McDaniel, Insurance Commissioner-elect Glen Mulready and Corporation Commissioner Bob Anthony.

The oath will be administered by incoming Oklahoma Supreme Court Chief Justice Noma Gurich. The inaugural ceremony, reception and prayer services are free and open to the public.
