US Senators want Air Force cleanup of forever chemicals around Colorado Springs

Colorado’s U.S. Senators are pressing the Air Force to do more about the water contamination from “forever chemicals” around Colorado Springs where there are several military operations.

 

Sens. Michael Bennet and John Hickenloper, in a letter to the Air Force focused their concerns on polyfluoroalkyl substances and said they have contaminated the Widefield aquifer which provides drinking water in the Colorado Springs area reported the Denver Gazette.
