Ovintiv criticized by activist over 'excessive' pay - JWN Energy

If there is one energy firm that has the ability to continue discovery of major producing oil wells in Oklahoma, it is Ovintiv USA Inc.

As OK Energy Today has reported in the past, Ovintiv has a track record of major finds in the STACK, especially in Kingfisher County.

Its latest is a four-well single-pad site with more than 4,600 barrels of oil a day. The company recently filed completion reports on the Carol Fiu 1607 4h-18x, the Carol Fiu 1607 3h-18x, the Carol Fiu 1607 2h-18x and the Carol Fiu 1607 5h-18x.

The Carol Fiu 1607 3h-18x was the largest producer with 1,529 barrels of oil a day and 3,074 Mcf of natural gas when it was completed in October 2021 at a drilled depth of 18,547 feet following an April spud date.

All four wells are located at 19 16N 7W , a site about 3 miles southwest of the city of Kingfisher. The Carol Fiu 1607 4h-18x had production of 1,483 barrels of oil a day and 2,865 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 19,006 feet when completed in October 2021.

The Carol Fiu 1607 5h-18x produced 879 barrels of oil daily and 1,773 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,032 feet upon completion.

The last well, the Carol Fiu 1607 2h-18x produced 747 barrels of oil a day and 1,811 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,929 feet upon completion.

Ovintiv isn’t finished with drilling projects in Kingfisher County. Recent permits to drill were approved for four more Carol FIU 1607 wells not far from the latest producers.

The Houston-based company intends to drill the wells at 18-16N-07W.
