US oil prices drop to $61 while Oklahoma energy stocks rebound

Crude oil prices took another tumble in Wednesday’s trading settling at prices that are more than $2 lower than the start of the week.

West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery dropped $1.32 to $61.35 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude for June delivery fell $1.25 to $65.32 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

May natural gas fell 4 cents to $2.69 per 1,000 cubic feet.

While crude oil and natural gas prices were falling, many Oklahoma energy stocks had strong showings.

Gulfport Energy Corporation shot up 9.49% to finish the day at $0.050 cents a share.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. was another Oklahoma energy stock that fared well. It had an 8.33% gain on a 48 cent increase to $6.24.

Blueknight Energy Partners LP  rose 3 cents for a 0.98% gain to $3.08.
Chesapeake Energy went up 53 cents for a gain of 1.16% to $46.24.
Cimarex Energy Co. gained 1.50% on a 90 cent increase to $60.88.
Continental Resources Inc finished up 11 cents for a gain of 0.43% to $25.65.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP rose 6 cents for a 3.19% gain to $1.94.
Devon Energy Corp. gained 0.95% on a 20 cent jump to $21.17.
Enable Midstream Partners LP finished up 6 cents for a 0.89% gain to $6.83.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. finished up 27 cents for a 1.06% gain to $25.77.
LSB Industries Inc. lost 0.98% on a 6 cent drop to $6.04.
Laredo Petroleum Inc rose 55 cents for a 1.62% gain to $34.56.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. gained 1.58% on a 72 cent increase to $46.21.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc dropped 14 cents for a 3.23% loss to $4.20.
Matrix Service Co. gained 1.46% on an 18 cent increase to $12.54.
NGL Energy Partners LP closed up 4 cents for a 2.09% gain to $1.95.
OGE Energy Corp. lost 1.07% on a 36 cent drop to $33.28.
ONE Gas Inc fell 67 cents to $80.84 for a loss of 0.82%.
ONEOK rose $1.53 to $52.16 for a gain of 3.02%.
Ovintiv Inc. finished up 32 cents for a 1.47% gain to $22.12.
PHX Minerals Inc. closed at $2.30 with an 11 cent increase for a gain of 5.02%.
SandRidge Energy Inc. gained 2.75% on a 10 cent increase to $3.73.
Unit Corporation finished up 70 cents for a 5.69% gain to $13.
Williams Companies Inc. closed up 11 cents at $23.56 for a gain of 0.47%.
Other energy stocks also had positive trading according to the Texas Energy Report.

Diamondback Energy (FANG) up 0.99 at 75.26 – change 1.33%

Energy Transfer LP (ET) up 0.05 at 7.98 – change 0.63%

Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) up 0.18 at 23.04 – change 0.79%

EOG Resources (EOG) up 0.40 at 68.96 – change 0.58%

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 0.71 at 56.00 – change 1.28%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.14 at 16.69 – change 0.85%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.33 at 10.44 – change 3.26%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) up 0.31 at 13.07 – change 2.43%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 1.25 at 24.45 – change 5.37%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 1.58 at 77.02 – change 2.09%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 1.17 at 147.10 – change 0.80%

Valero (VLO) up 1.57 at 70.30 – change 2.28%
