Crude oil prices took another tumble in Wednesday’s trading settling at prices that are more than $2 lower than the start of the week.
West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery dropped $1.32 to $61.35 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for June delivery fell $1.25 to $65.32 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
May natural gas fell 4 cents to $2.69 per 1,000 cubic feet.
While crude oil and natural gas prices were falling, many Oklahoma energy stocks had strong showings.
Gulfport Energy Corporation shot up 9.49% to finish the day at $0.050 cents a share.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. was another Oklahoma energy stock that fared well. It had an 8.33% gain on a 48 cent increase to $6.24.
