One last wintry slap in Oklahoma?

Kiss Monday’s 70 degree weather goodbye in a hurry. It appears winter wants to take one final punch at the state as a hard freeze is anticipated Tuesday and Wednesday.
Gary McManus, State Climatologist with the Oklahoma Mesonet observed it this way in his Monday morning newsletter.
“Yeah, that’s gonna sting. Like I said last week, if Mother Nature keeps fooling around with these much below normal temps, we’re going to end up with a freeze. Sure enough, here we are. We’re looking at temperatures as low as 24 degrees across the Panhandle Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, as low as 27 degrees in the northwest both mornings, and as low as 28 degrees for much of the rest of the state Wedesday morning (it looks so cold, I forgot to put that first “n” in Wednesday!).
