The prospects of extending Oklahoma’s Amtrak Heartland Flyer passenger train service from Oklahoma City to Kansas were revived this week when President Biden announced his $2.2 trillion infrastructure plan.
The plan included billions for passenger rail service to be extended and improved nationally. The Oklahoman reported how Amtrak has hopes of obtaining $80 billion for improvements including an extension of the Heartland Flyer.
