Big gains for crude oil leaves prices above $63

Crude oil prices made better gains in Wednesday’s trading as global US benchmark prices settled above $63.

Prices soared nearly 5% following an International Energy Agency report and word about U.S. inventory data raised optimism about resumption of demand for fuel.

West Texas Intermediate for May delivery crude rose $2.97 to $63.15 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude for June delivery went up $2.91 to $66.58 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

Many Oklahoma energy stocks saw large gains as well including Continental Resources Inc. with one of the largest increases. Shares gained 8.33% on an increase of $2.11 to reach $27.51.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. gained 2.65% as shares rose 15 cents to $5.80.

Blueknight Energy Partners fell one cent to $3.14 for loss of 0.32%. 

Chesapeake Energy gained 1.49% on a 68 cent jump to $46.19.

Cimarex Energy Co gained 4.91% on a $3.04 increase to $64.990.
Cypress Environmental Partners rose 5 cents for a 2.33% gain to $2.20.
Devon Energy Corp gained 3.69% on an 80 cent climb to $22.49.
Enable Midstream Partners LP finished up 6 cents to $6.90 for a gain of 0.88%.
Gulfport Energy Corporation gained 0.40% to $0.050 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. rose $1.01 for a gain of 3.87% to $27.10.
LSB Industries increased 33 cents for a 6.08% gain to $5.76.
Laredo Petroleum Inc. gained 5.85% on a $2.02 increase to $36.56.
Magellan Midstream Partners gained 1.30% on a 58 cent rise to $45.29.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc rose 25 cents for a 5.09% gain to $5.16.
Matrix Service Co. increased 24 cents for a 1.80% gain to $13.60.
NGL Energy Partners LP went up 6 cents to $2.13 for a gain of 2.90%.
OGE Energy Corp. finished up 26 cents at $32.86 for a gain of 0.78%.
ONE Gas Inc. closed up 36 cents at $78.21 for a gain of 0.47%.
ONEOK Inc. rose 42 cents to $51.51. for a gain of 0.82%.
Ovintiv Inc. finished up $1.18 at $24.47 for a gain of 5.07%.
PHX Minerals Inc. gained 1.95% on a 5 cent increase to $2.61.
SandRidge Energy Inc. gained 6.28% as shares rose 23 cents to $3.89.
Unit Corporation gained 1.62% on a 21 cent rise to $13.21.
Williams Companies Inc. fell 5 cents for a 0.21% loss to $23.65.

EOG Resources (EOG) up 3.73 at 74.12 – change 5.30%

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 1.61 at 57.32 – change 2.80%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.17 at 16.65 – change 1.03%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.34 at 11.09 – change 3.11%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) up 0.77 at 13.80 – change 5.91%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 1.26 at 25.55 – change 5.19%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 1.77 at 79.39 – change 2.28%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 7.42 at 153.10 – change 5.09%

Valero (VLO) up 2.00 at 72.28 – change 2.85%
