Siemens Energy to cut 7,800 jobs

 

 Siemens, the German-based company that provided many of the wind turbines in Oklahoma announced it plans to slash nearly a sixth of its workers worldwide.

The company said the layoffs will be in its gas and power division and represents a sign of a worldwide shift to green energy.

Bloomberg reported that Siemens will eliminate 7,800 jobs by the end of its 2025 financial year including 1,700 in the U.S. and 3,000 in Germany
