New contract could mean expansion of Mammoth Energy

Mammoth Energy Services Inc. announced Wednesday that one of its wholly owned subsidiaries had obtained a new contract worth $40 million over the next three years. And it could lead to an expansion of the company.

Aquawolf, LLC was awarded the contract by a major utility that was not named in the announcement. The contract is for Aquawolf to provide engineering and design services.

The subsidiary has grown significantly since operations began in September 2019 and now has offices in Denver, Colorado, San Diego, California and Vancouver, Washington.

Aquawolf provides engineering services for electrical transmission and distribution, natural gas, generation, electric substations, owners engineering, project management, power system studies and third party attachments.

It could also lead to more work for Aquawolf according to Arty Straehla, ceo at Mammoth.

“The signing of this agreement is significant for Aquawolf as it is expected to allow for a significant expansion of both engineers employed and breadth of projects engineered.”

He said when coupled with Mammoth’s other businesses, the new contract could move Mammoth a step closer to being a fully integrated Engineering, Procurement and Construction company.
