Crude oil prices increased for a second consecutive day in Tuesday’s trading pushing closer to the $62 level in the U.S.
West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery went up 18 cents to $61.67 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude oil for April delivery increased 13 cents to settle at $65.37 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas dropped 7 cents to $2.88 per 1,000 cubic feet.
It also proved to be a mild trading day for Oklahoma energy stocks. But two companies saw large increases. Cimarex Energy Company, the Denver firm with operations throughout Oklahoma had a nearly 10% gain on a $5.01 increase to $57.02.
Mammoth Energy Services of Oklahoma City gained 7.21% when shares increased 45 cents to settle at $6.69.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. increased only one cent to reach $6.30 for a gain of 0.16%.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP slipped one cent for a 0.44% loss to $2.25.
CenterPoint Energy Inc finished up 11 cents for a half point gain to $20.78.
Chesapeake Energy fell 18 cents for a 0.41% loss to $43.66.
Devon Energy Corp had a 1.60% on a 34 cent increase to $21.59.
Enable Midstream Partners LP gained 1.39% on a 9 cent bump to $6.57.
Gulfport Energy Corporation lost 1.78% to finish at $0.083.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. lost 5 cents or 0.18% to settle at $27.83.
LSB Industries, Inc. fell 16 cents to $4.09 with a 3.76% loss.
Laredo Petroleum Inc had a 1.74% gain on a 63 cent jump to $36.92.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. rose 51 cents for a 1.20% gain to $43.09.
Matrix Service Co gained nearly 1% on an increase of 11 cents to $13.72.
NGL Energy Partners LP dropped 8 cents for a 3.17% loss to $2.44.
OGE Energy Corp. gained nearly 1% on a 30 cent increase to $31.40.
ONE Gas Inc slipped two cents to $70.01.
Ovintiv Inc finished up 74 cents for a 3.27% gain to $23.35.
PHX Minerals Inc fell 3 cents for a nearly 1% loss to $3.47.
SandRidge Energy Inc. dropped 22 cents for a 4.07% loss to $5.19.
Williams Companies Inc gained more than 4% on a 92 cent increase to $23.84.
