Crude oil prices hit their highest level in more than a year in Monday’s trading as Brent futures settled at more than $60 a barrel.
Boosted by supply cuts, Brent crude for April delivery rose $1.22 to $60.56 a barrel in ICE Futures Europe.
West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery, considered to be the benchmark U.S. oil, rose $1.12 to $57.97 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
March natural gas rose 2 cents to $2.88 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Monday turned out to be a good day for most Oklahoma energy stocks as they made gains in the day’s trading. Only a few suffered a loss for the day.
SandRidge Energy Inc. had a nearly 13% gain when shares jumped 60 cents to $5.33 for the day. It came on the heels of the company’s closure of a $47 million sale of assets in north central Colorado.
Continental Resources, Inc. gained nearly 10% as shares increased $2.09 to $23.07. Laredo Petroleum Inc finished up $2.64 at $32.54 for a 9% gain.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. gained 1% as shares closed up 5 cents at $6.35.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP finished with a 4% gain as stock settled up 8 cents at $2.10.
Chesapeake Energy Corporation had a 4% gain on an 11 cent increase to $3.
Cimarex Energy Co closed up $2.04 at $49.99 for a 4.25% gain.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP gained 5.23% with a 16 cent increase to $3.22.
Devon Energy Corp closed at $18.75 with a 5% gain and an increase of 88 cents.
Enable Midstream Partners LP finished up 3 cents at $5.82 for a gain of 0.52%.
Gulfport Energy Corporation had a 6.25% gain to slightly more than 8 cents a share.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. finished at $26.92 with a 65 cent increase and a 2.47% gain.
LSB Industries, Inc. gained nearly 2% with a 7 cent increase to $4.25.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. closed up 6 cents at $40.60, a gain of only 0.15%.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc finished the day up 6% at $4.77 following a 25 cent increase.
Matrix Service Co rose 52 cents for a 4.06% gain to $13.33.
ONEOK, Inc. gained 1.40% as shares increased 60 cents to $43.43.
Ovintiv Inc gained nearly 8% as shares finished up $1.44 at $20.10.
PHX Minerals Inc increased 23 cents for a 7.14% gain to $3.45.
Williams Companies Inc closed up 41 cents for a 1.86% gain to $22.50.
Three Oklahoma energy stocks reported losses for the day.
NGL Energy Partners LP dropped 2 cents to $2.64 for a loss of 0.75%.
OGE Energy Corp. fell 40 cents or 1.27% to $31.02.
ONE Gas Inc slipped 35 cents to finish the day at $72.55 for a loss of nearly half a point.
