With struggling coal and oil and gas industries, some legislators in Montana are looking eagerly at raising taxes on the wind and solar operations in the state.
As one legislator puts it, there is a need to “level the playing field” on energy taxes. So the Republican-led legislature will consider targeting the wind and solar developments with higher taxes.
