More people are losing their jobs because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 21C Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City notified the state Office of Workforce Development last week that it intended to begin the layoff of 109 employees this week. However, there are no plans for the hotel to shut down operations.

This week, workers at the Tuesday Morning stores learned the corporation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. But it’s unclear how the filing will affect the 12 stores in Oklahoma.

The company indicated, according to the Workforce Development office that it intends to close a third of its stores but no list has been published.
