Three-well pad produces 2,200 barrels of oil for Marathon Oil in Kingfisher county

Houston’s Marathon Oil Company is reporting three wells drilled off a single pad in Oklahoma’s STACK play are producing a combined total of more than 2,200 barrels of oil a day.

The completion reports filed this week showed the wells were drilled in Kingfisher County at 33 15N 9W and are located about 10.5 miles due west of the city of Okarche.

The largest of the Mike Stroud Bia 1509 wells produced 831 barrels of oil daily. Two wells had identical production while the third brought in 571 barrels a day.

The reports indicated each of the wells had spud dates in September 2018 with completion made in March 2019. Production is out of the Mississippi solid formation.
