Record tying cool weather hits the state

No doubt energy workers who do their jobs outdoors in Oklahoma are thanking mother nature for unusually cool weather this week.

Hard to believe but in Buffalo, there was a 44 degree wind child on Monday! And one Oklahoma Mesonet site tied the record for the lowest temperature ever recorded at 40 degrees.

Gary McManus, the State Climatologist reported the Eva site actually tied records dating back to 1903.

Location      Low Temp (F)      Year
Eva Mesonet        40            2019
Boise City        40            1908
Boise City        40            1910
Okeene            40            1903
Vinita            41            1988
On the other hand, it could be hot like the record 109 degree reading in Altus in 2012.
