Wind Energy conference to attract thousands

With wind power growing across the U.S., promoters of the American Wind Energy Association’s Windpower 2019 conference in Houston expect to sett an improvement over the 7,600 who attended last year’s event.

In 2018, the conference had 450 companies with exhibitions and 50 different companies were represented by those who attended.

The 2019 conference will be held May 20 to May 23 and the Department of Energy and its national laboratories will again take part as speakers and panelists.

Some of the topics include the US wind outlook, the future with larger blades and turbines, the costs and benefits of transmission for wind integration across the US, and wind power and cyberesecurity.
