Siemens Gets New CEO in U.S. Operations

Siemens Corporation, the big manufacturer for wind farms across Oklahoma and the U.S. and engineering technology is under new leadership in the U.S.

Barbara Humpton was promoted from CEO of Siemens Government Technologies, Inc. to be CEO for the United States operations of the company.

Siemens works hand-in-hand with wind farm operators throughout Oklahoma and has 50,000 employees in the U.S.

Humpton joined Siemens Government Technologies in 2011 and was appointed to lead the company’s approach to the federal market in 2015. She previously held leadership positions at Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen Hamilton where she was a Vice President at both firms.

“I am honored to work with the 50,000 Siemens employees in the U.S. to address the market’s needs in electrification, automation and digitalization. It’s an exciting time to be at Siemens as we develop products and services that are shaping the future,” said Humpton.

Wind isn’t the only sector where Siemens is known. The company has more than 60 manufacturing sites including some in Oklahoma City. It focuses on industry, hospitals, utilities and manufacturers from efficient power generation to digital factors and oil and gas fields.

The company has 377,000 employees worldwide and is headquartered in Germany.
