STACK Targeted With More Drilling Permits

Oklahoma’s STACK oil play continues to be the target of some of the hottest drilling exploration.

A listing of Permits to Drill released by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission reveals 7 more permits for Blaine County, 10 in Canadian County and 7 in Kingfisher County. Those three are the primary counties that make up the popular oil play

Who’s interested in Blaine County? The 7 obtaining permits to drill are Triumph Energy, Staghorn Petroleum, Highmark Energy, Devon and Continental Resources. Devon and Continental each received more than one permit.

In Canadian County, permit holders include Stone Oak Operating, A and A Tank Truck Company, Newfield Exploration, Chaparral Energy, Red Bluff Resources, Citizen Energy II, Jones Energy LLC and Linn Operating Inc.

The 7 permits in Kingfisher county went to Devon Energy and Oklahoma Energy Acquistitions.
