Continental Resources Reports Latest Big STACK Well

One of the latest big wells to be reported in Oklahoma’s STACK is producing more than 1,000 barrels of oil a day.

Continental Resources Inc. reports the Herod Fiu well, located at 8 16N 12W in Blaine county has daily production of 1,126 barrels of oil daily along with 4,688 Mcf of natural gas. The well is located about 4 miles northwest of Watonga. Completion reports shown at OK Energy Today indicate the well’s spud date was in September 2016. Drilling was finished in November 2016 and the completion was made Dec. 22, 2016.

Continental Resources had another well in the STACK, one drilled in Canadian County. Its production was 243 barrels a day. The Vogt well is located at 16 14N 6W.

A second Blaine County well was also reported by Newfield Exploration. The Dorothy, located at 5 15N 10W is producing 569 barrels a day along with 1,621 Mcf of natural gas.
