Oklahoma City-based Seventy Seven Energy Inc. is moving ahead with plans to possibly merge with Patterson-UTI Energy Inc. based in Houston, Texas.
A special meeting of Seventy-Seven stockholders will be held April 20 at 9 a.m. at SSE’s offices, 777 NW 63rd in Oklahoma City.
Stockholders will consider and vote on the proposed merger and agreement that was revealed in December 2016.
Patterson-UTI Energy was originally formed in 1979 as Patterson Drilling then changed in 1986 to its existing name.
