The Oklahoma Chapter of the Sierra Club is preparing for its annual chapter gathering set for the weekend of Oct 21 at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area near Sulphur.
It begins Friday afternoon at 5 o’clock, with a music mixer. On Saturday, Oct 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be multiple outing opportunities and an option trip to the nearby Chickasaw Cultural Center. A Ranger presentation on the National Parks 100th anniversary will be held at 3 p.m. and the All Chapter Meeting and cookout at 6:30 p.m. will be held at the Travertine Nature Center.
The weekend activities will wrap up on Sunday, Oct. 23 with an informal breakfast and a priority-setting session that will end at noon.
