Chesapeake Energy Records Three More Successful Wells in the STACK

Chesapeake Energy’s reporting some success in oil wells in the STACK in Kingfisher and Blaine Counties.

Its largest well produced 1,224 barrels a day along with 2,564 Mcf of gas. The STARK well in Blaine county was spudded in mid-January with drilling finished at the end of January and completion made on May 19. The well’s located 4 miles due north of the Chisholm Trail Vo-Tech center between Kingfisher and Watonga.

Chesapeake also had a 1,134 barrel a day well in the same area but in Kingfisher county. The INDOMINUS REX, located north of state highway 3 and just west of Kingfisher had an April 7 spud date while drilling finished April 28. Completion was made May 30 as the well also produced 2,472 Mcf of natural gas.

A second Chesapeake well in Kingfisher County produced 870 barrels of oil a day along with 2,172 Mcf of gas. The CALVIN well is located close to the INDOMINUS REX and had a March 24 spud date with drilling finished in mid-April and completion was made June 18. Both of the Kingfisher county wells were in the Mississippian play.
