Because of his close ties to Oklahoma’s oil and gas industry and to Oklahoma State University, it seems many fans of billionaire oilman T-Boon Pickens pay close attention when he speaks.

This week, he spoke in Las Vegas while attending a hedge fund conference and told reporters he will support Donald Trump, the man most likely to get the Republican nomination now that the other 16 candidates dropped out of the race.

He said he talked to Trump on Monday and gave him his endorsement. Early on in the GOP Presidential race, Pickens had donated $100,000 to the campaign of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, then considered Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina.

“You knocked ’em all out,” he said he told Trump of the other candidates, according to a report from CNN.

Pickens says he has known Trump for 30 years but never did business with him.
