Crude Winning Streak Extends to Three Sessions on Thursday

Make it three sessions in a row for gains on U.S. crude oil. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, March West Texas Intermediate crude climbed 92 cents to settle at $33.22 a barrel. March Brent crude added 79 cents to end trade at $33.89 a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.

Traders are getting mixed signals from OPEC and Russia. With the chance there is a production cut in the works, the markets have been moving in the positive direction.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported natural gas stockpiles dropped by 211 billion cubic feet last week. That pushed March contracts on the New York Mercantile Exchange higher by 2.5 cents to settle at $2.182 per million British thermal units.
