Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy is unabashed in his declaration that the oil in Alaska is the country’s national security security.
Saying it’s a “new day” with President Trump in the White House, the governor proclaimed his state, with proven reserves of 3.4 billion barrels of oil and 125 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, stands ready to power America’s 21st-century energy needs
“Just as important, by relying on our own energy resources instead of those of foreign dictators, it will make America safer – and help Americans feel more secure,” he added in a swipe at the administration of former President Joe Biden.
Dunleavy made his claims in a recent opinion piece entitled, “Alaska’s oil reserves are America’s national security shield.”
