Should be a “rain free” parade for OKC Thunder!!

Chances are pretty low—maybe none that there will be rain Tuesday morning when the Oklahoma City Thunder, the NBA champs, hold their parade in downtown Oklahoma City.

And as usual, Oklahoma Climatologist Gary McManus had his comedic look at things in his published weather forecast.

“Summer is here, wheat harvest is in full swing, it’s hot and sticky, and Oklahoma has the NBA Champs. You know, normal June stuff here in Oklahoma. And as per usual, rain chances when we start getting deeper into summer shift to the High Plains, and that’s what we’re starting to see yesterday and into the next few days,” he wrote on Monday.

Good thing the Thunder celebration parade is in the morning when the weather is cooler and the tens of thousands of fans expected to wave on their winning players won’t be sweating—too much.

It’s still advisable to wear loose clothing and take plenty to drink with you…..water.
