Next broadband expansion project to begin in Claremore

Oklahoma’s latest broadband expansion project will be launched later in the week in Claremore.

The Oklahoma Broadband Office will officially launch broadband expansion projects with Atlas Broadband to improve access to high-speed internet service in four counties (Rogers, Osage, Nowata and Tulsa). The Office stated that the projects will significantly enhance digital access to provide economic opportunities for residents and businesses in the area.

Background:

These projects are among over 180 that are funded by the ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds and ARPA Capital Projects Fund that will greatly improve high-speed internet access throughout the state, but especially in rural Oklahoma. Awarded grants administered by the Oklahoma Broadband Office will connect more than 69,000 homes and businesses in 59 of the state’s 77 counties.
